The Groom's Guide to Luxury Wedding Wear

Your wedding wardrobe is rarely a single outfit. It is a sequence of moments, from the first ceremony to the last celebration, and each one asks for something different. This guide walks through how to choose, how to plan, and how to be certain that what you wear fits as well as it looks.

Start early

Every piece at Bhavya Bhasin Couture is made to order, and embroidered work takes time. We recommend beginning your consultation well ahead of the event, ideally eight weeks or more, so there is room for consultation, production, delivery and any adjustment before the day.

The sherwani: for the ceremony itself

The sherwani is the centrepiece of the Indian groom's wardrobe. Long, structured and often richly embroidered, it is made for the moment everyone photographs. Explore our sherwani collection, and see how 3D embroidery lifts a ceremonial piece from beautiful to unforgettable.

The bandhgala: refined and versatile

A bandhgala offers the ceremony of a sherwani with the ease of a tailored suit. It suits receptions, engagement ceremonies and evenings that call for something formal but not traditional. Browse bandhgala suits.

Tuxedos and suits: for the evening

For cocktail evenings, receptions and black-tie celebrations, a sharply tailored suit or tuxedo is the natural choice. See our suits and tuxedos.

Kurta sets and Nehru jackets: for the celebrations around the wedding

Mehendi, haldi and sangeet often call for something lighter and more relaxed, without losing polish. Our kurta sets and Nehru jacket sets are designed for exactly these occasions.

Choosing colour

Ivory, champagne and gold read beautifully in daylight and in photographs. Deep navy, black and rich jewel tones come into their own after dark. If you are unsure, the studio can advise on colour against your skin tone, the venue and the wedding palette.

Destination weddings and grooms abroad

You do not need to be in New Delhi to commission a wedding outfit. Consultations can be held remotely, and finished pieces are shipped worldwide. Read about shipping and delivery and how the made-to-measure process works from anywhere.

Getting the fit right

Fit is what separates an expensive outfit from a truly luxurious one. Use our size chart, or let the studio guide you through taking measurements. When in doubt, ask before you order.
