Three generations of textile craft
Bhavya Bhasin Couture grew out of a family life in textiles, now resolved with an engineer's precision. Every piece is cut to a detailed 32-point measurement method, then embroidered and finished by our karigars in New Delhi.
No two pieces leave the studio exactly alike. That is the point.
Dress by ceremony
An Indian wedding is several events, each with its own mood. Here is how we would dress you for each.
Daytime, relaxed and often outdoors. Comfort matters as much as colour.
- What to wear
- A kurta set or a light co-ord. Keep layers minimal; add a Nehru jacket if the evening runs late.
- Colours that work
- Yellow, mint, pistachio, ivory and soft florals. Haldi paste stains, so choose a piece you won't mind marking.
- From the studio
- Mirror work and gota catch daylight beautifully.
The night for music and dancing, so choose something you can move in.
- What to wear
- An Indo-Western jacket, or an embroidered kurta and jacket set, structured at the shoulder with room through the arm.
- Colours that work
- Jewel tones, black, midnight blue and metallic accents that read well under stage lighting.
- From the studio
- Tell us you'll be dancing when you order; the sleeve and armhole matter more than you'd think.
The piece you'll see in photographs for decades. This is where 3D embroidery earns its place.
- What to wear
- A sherwani with churidar or straight trousers, with a stole or safa if your family tradition calls for one.
- Colours that work
- Ivory, champagne, gold, blush and deep reds, chosen with the bride's outfit in mind.

- Order early and allow time for making, delivery and any fine adjustment before the day.
An evening event that sits between Indian and Western dressing.
- What to wear
- A bandhgala suit, or a tuxedo if the reception is black tie.
- Colours that work
- Midnight, black, wine, bottle green and tonal embroidery.
- From the studio
- Tonal embroidery, with thread close to the colour of the cloth, looks most refined under evening light.
Sharp, modern and a little less ceremonial.
- What to wear
- A tuxedo, a tailored suit or a statement jacket over a fitted shirt.
- Colours that work
- Black, deep jewel tones, or one bold colour if you want to be remembered.

- Keep embroidery to one focal area, such as the lapel or cuffs.
