3D Embroidery: The Bhavya Bhasin Signature

Most embroidery lies flat against the cloth. Ours rises from it. Three-dimensional embroidery is the signature of Bhavya Bhasin Couture: raised, layered surface work built by hand, so that a single motif carries real depth, shadow and movement.

What makes embroidery three-dimensional

Dimensional embroidery is built up rather than stitched flat. Thread is layered over padded foundations, metal coils are wound and lifted away from the fabric, and beads and pearls are set one at a time. The result is a surface that changes with the light and with every step the wearer takes.

The techniques behind the signature

Dabka

A fine metal coil, wound with precision and raised from the fabric to create structured shadow and a sculpted edge.

Cutdana

Faceted beads set individually by hand, catching the light from every angle.

Pearl work

Pearls placed one by one into the design, adding softness and lustre against structured tailoring.

Layered floral threadwork

Petals and leaves built up in layers of thread, so that blooms have depth rather than just an outline.

Made by hand, so no two pieces are identical

Because this work is applied by hand, small variations between pieces are inherent to the craft. They are part of what makes each garment one of a kind.
